art journal #2 is finally done. i'm not much on having a theme for my art journals (so far, but then, this is #2 so who knows what'll happen in the future) nor am i one for working in it everyday. i just kind of work on them when i feel like it or when i need to work something out for another project and i am stumped.
front cover - chipboard covered with paper from basic grey's out of print line and bound with my bind-it-all. the inside pages are watercolor paper.
background: salty ocean distress paint. tree bark stenciled in gesso. letters and butterflies are wood, sprayed with dylusions sprays. the man is a piece of k and company ephemera and in his mouth is a blue fern studios chipboard heart that i crackled then painted red (then glossy accented the heart).
my favorite dots stencil done with the october afternoon sprinklers in various colors. (the facing page is the same stencil but in no color - i used white modeling paste)
the front of an envelope of a birthday card. i'm also not a stickler for keeping my art journals strictly art journaling pages. there's cards, envelopes, notes, art pieces, etc from others glued in. so i guess, really, they are a combo of art journals and diaries.
a paperwings dot stamp in cream on top of broken china distress stain. glitter cardstock tree, some red ribbon, and the ruler is stamped. (so is the saying)
now to figure out what book 3 is going to be!
