After a coat of primer and a coat of red matte spray paint. When it was fully dry I added these Kaisercraft Doilie Rub-ons. (I have a total crush on these!) They were a bit of work to get on, but they transferred over nicely. I gave it a coat of mod-podge and found it a home on my work table.

I am in love with it!
Vintage file box found at Goodwill for $1.99. The lid is latched on but broken in the back, so I just recycled it. Also, I wanted to use it for my 12x12 papers so not having a lid worked out.

Did I mention I have a thing about spray paint?
Give me a can of spray paint and I will, as the expression goes, go to town. This took an entire can of American Accents Marigold, but it's so worth it!

i *heart* spray paint
Before: one dusty, vintage, 49 cent Goodwill Rolodex find.

After: same vintage 49 cent Rolodex, minus the dust and a new look with some baby blue spray paint.
